MEMBERSHIP UPGRADE IN THE INSTITUTE
The grade of Fellow is the institute’s highest professional grade, followed by Member, Associate and Graduate respectively. To qualify for admission into any of these grades, the applicant must have fulfilled all the conditions for award as explained in detail in the membership requirements.
Please see below the requirements for progression from a lower grade to the next.
GRADUATE
All professionals admitted to the grade of Graduate of this Institute are expected to have spent a minimum of three (3) years in that position from the date of admission before any application for upgrade to the level of Associate may be entertained.
- The applicant must have within this period attended the Institute’s Essential Learning Programme (ELP) for at least two times within the period.
- Provide evidence of work experience within this period.
- Must have paid the Institute’s subscription dues up to date.
- Must have his/her application request attested to by at least two senior professional colleagues of the Institute.
- Complete the upgrade request form.
ASSOCIATE
Applicant must have spent at least four years in this position from date of admission before any application for upgrade to the level of Full Member may be entertained.
- The applicant must have attended the Institute’s Essential Learning Programme (ELP) for a minimum of three (3) times within this period.
- Provide evidence of work experience detailing any major change management programme either he/she initiated or participated in within the period under review.
- Must have paid the Institute’s subscription dues up to date.
- Have his/her application request attested to by at least two senior professional colleagues.
- Complete the upgrade request form.
MEMBER
Applicant must have spent at least four years in this position from date admission before any application for upgrade to the grade of Fellow may be entertained.
- The applicant must have attended the Institute’s Essential Learning Programme (ELP) for a minimum of three (3) times within this period.
- Provide evidence of work experience detailing major change management programme he/she initiated within the period under review.
- Must have paid the Institute’s subscription dues up to date.
- Show evidence of participation in the Institute’s programme e.g seminars, conferences etc.
- Have his/her application request attested to by at least two senior professional colleagues.
- Complete the upgrade request form.
